Today we are going to talk about Renault Latitude 1.5 dCi EDC. Renault had face lifted its mid-class representative the Latitude. But more importantly, by adding an automatic gearbox to its 1,5-liter diesel engine, it took a step worth diamonds to the rivalry. The Latitude was face lifted, but its look didn’t change a lot. Therefore I shall mention the differences briefly.
Primarily the inside of the headlamps are black, LED lamps are used on side rear view mirrors and taillights. And the new design better-looking wheel rims are the greatest variations. The interior has the material quality of the standards of its class. That is to say when you touch many places you encounter soft plastic materials. Of course, when you reach beneath this places it is a bit hard.
I have some HD photos collection of Renault Latitude 1.5 dCi EDC, you can use it as wallpaper on your desktop.

Renault Latitude 1.5 dCi EDC Review
There is one important difference in the interior of the Latitude that the rivals are missing; it can give two different perfumes at three different intensity into the car. It is very important because you get rid of hanging old fashion perfumes to the mirror. Massage functional seats are comfortable too, but even at its lowest position, it is still a bit too high. That’s why I didn’t find too much comfort at these seats. The control buttons are located good, everything is underhand, and you can use them quickly.
In the middle there are two-cup holders but since there are no other places I put my wallet and phone and my sunglasses here. Apart from that, there are places inside the glove box, and inside the doors to put many of your articles. The rear seats of the Latitude give a good knee room for people using it as an official car. Due to the sunroof, the roof is a bit lowered. And therefore headroom is a bit restricted, but it is not much of trouble. You have an armrest for your comfort. Besides, when the sun comes like this, you can pull up the shade and isolate yourself.
Renault Latitude 1.5 dCi EDC Specs
In the Latitude that I drove has 1,5-liter diesel engine, and the double clutch automatic gearbox is functioning. This engine in Renault product range is an engine that I most admire due to its performance and frugality. Although the engine that develops 110 HP and 240 Nm of torque don’t perform as in the Megane. It doesn’t lose much performance even as the Latitude is 5 meters long. Of course, you shouldn’t expect too much from this car. Especially at over takings and uphill it requires patience.
Apart from these, the performance it offers is satisfactory. Before the facelift, the Latitude 1.5 dCi was offered by manual gearbox only. But now there is EDC double clutch gearbox, and it means that the Latitude is a more comfortable car now. Therefore it is possible that it may sell more. The suspensions are set pivotal to comfort. In other words, the shock absorbers absorb the impacts very well even on rough surfaces and do not reflect it to the inside.
Therefore in the cabin, you feel a good suspension comfort. If we come to the steering sharpness, it’s a bit soft and not sensitive. But a standard driver shall not be worrying about it. For me, the best thing of the Latitude that will make its owner most happy is its fuel consumption. The manufacturer claims that 4,7 liter average in 100 km can be achieved. But to me it is difficult. 6,5-liter fuel consumption is not bad either, and you can achieve that easily.
The Latitude is located in a class where Passat is a very serious rival. Therefore obviously its job is not easy. But since automatic gearbox was added to its 1,5-liter diesel engine and as it is 5 thousand TL cheaper at 74 thousand TL selling price. These are among its big assets.
