1976 Ford Courier Modification Tips
This is my 1976 Ford Courier. It’s got a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine it was originally rated at a 74 horsepower carburetors have been changed on it I think it’s a Weber or Holley carb an air pump. It’s gone off, so it’s got probably a little more than 74 around there, at least for speed standard.
I’ve been working on about six months, and it was in really really poor shape I’ve replaced the front headlights with h4 conversions and if you notice the bottom there, there’s daytime running LED lights the very bottom of the light refurbished.
The original wheels 1976 refurbished the seat installed new door cards made those myself and designed them. I painting them then cut the vinyl included in refurbished the dash cap. The speakers generally come in the very middle of the body. There was an original speaker was a one speaker radio I left the stock radio which doesn’t work but I’ll replace it with the aftermarket down here below the glovebox.
The detachable face installed I think these are six and a half speakers 6 and 1/2 inch speakers 3 ways on the doors and also behind the seat right where the sea meets there for the black and white. I installed a four by six 3-way speakers as well. I want to keep the yellow theme so I found speakers that are actually matched in yellow it doesn’t have air conditioning and only has heat original from the factory. Air conditioning was an option then not too many had here in the Pacific Northwest manual choke 84,000 miles on it, and it’s a 4-speed standard it was not offered with carpet, but I went ahead and installed custom carpet with it again.
I refurbished the seat at a new foam and memory foam I need to redo the vinyl on the seat, but I haven’t learned how to do that. Just yet the headliner was in really bad shape replaced that, and I kind of did my own thing with some automotive grade white vinyl, and that is a famous Ford overhead console light. I installed it did not have a door light, and I wired it to have door triggers down here, so when you open the door, I like this come on this truck never had that option. It was available at all it had a switchable dome light switchable side light inside.
I have map light and a dome light I was also able to add an alarm, with that, so it kind of worked out too. So I have an alarm on it now it’s triggered by the door light opening the back the bed have refurbished the bed and put a cutter it with bed liner.
