What’s New In 2018 Ford F-150? Ford has a lot in the pipe line, and I here become very excited. So, I wanted to share with you some of the great things Ford has in store for 2018 and beyond. Recently announced was a mid-model refresh for the 2018 F-150. New exterior design features like the grille and tailgate are just the beginning.
3.0 Power Stroke Diesel With 3.3 V6 Based Engine
The 2018 F-150 will now offer a 3.0 Power stroke diesel for the first time ever, surely guaranteeing better towing capacity and more miles per gallon. The base F-150 engine will now be a 3.3 V6 but this will be the only engine mated to the traditional 6-speed transmission as every other engine in the lineup will be matched with Fords new 10-speed transmission that is currently only available on the 3.5 Ecoboost for 2017.
More Fuel Saving
Auto-Start Stop is now also standard on all F-150 trims to help with fuel saving efforts. The 2018 F-150 is now even smarter. The adaptive cruise control which now features stop and go, allows your truck to use radar to monitor traffic flows to maintain safe distances and even come to a complete stop. New Pre-Collision Assist with pedestrian detection helps the driver avoid collisions.
Wi-Fi Capable With 4G LTE
The Ford F-150 is now Wi-Fi capable with an embedded 4g LTE modem that can connect up to 10 devices at one time. All of this tech, design and not to mention new wheels and color options will make us even more excited for the upcoming models. Also, further down the road in the upcoming years, Ford fans can rejoice in the return of two popular name plates to the Ford line up. The Mid-Size pickup Ford Ranger will make its return in 2019 after an 8-year absence and the cult classic Ford Bronco will return in 2020 for the first time since 1996!
